Alexis Dinsmor had her second podium finish in as many weeks, winning her age category in the Oulton Park Duathlon this weekend. Last week she smashed the course record in her category at the Macclesfield Half. Well done Alexis !!!
Two of our members competed in the Northwest Triathlon on September 14th. Here are their mini race reports:
Don Bennett – ‘I completed my first ever triathlon, coming 241st out of 347 finishers and loved every minute! Maybe 61 is a BIT late to start doing triathlons, but it’s never TOO late!’
Don’s time was an amazing 1:28:40
Emma Minshull – ‘ It was a fantastic event, really well organised with great support around the whole course. I would recommend this event to any first time athletes.’
Emma’s time was also amazing 1:34:03
Well done guys!!
We did it! 100km!
11 of us set off at 8.30am – the rain had just stopped! The route was well marshalled and signposted – but there were lots and lots of cyclists. The route was great, the weather was quite kind – if not a little confusing for Tim Bryne especially – his jacket was on/off/on. One puncture for Nikki, one fall for Cath, but apart from that a relatively smooth cycle! Everyone enjoyed it and hopefully not too sore this morning! Great event, can highly recommend for next year – although we may just do the 100 mile course next year!
We love getting and sharing feedback:-
Just a quick note to say many thanks for teaching me to swim. When we started back in November I signed up to the great manchester 1mile swim as a target, today I successfully completed it. It wasn’t the fastest time (37:19) but felt really relaxed, comfortable and I loved it which is what today was about. Many thanks for helping me achieve this! Next target is Windermere 2mile next year and some acquathons – Cheers Carl
